This upgrade boosts bandwidth and adds capacity, redundancy, and resilience, resulting in a stronger, more dependable connection. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we’re building a more robust network, one tower at a time.

A Step Toward a More Resilient Network
This week we completed a major upgrade that involved the installation of high-capacity Aviat microwave equipment on two of our tower structures. These powerful wireless links can deliver over 2 gigabits per second, dramatically increasing the bandwidth that moves between these key sites in our network.

One Tower at a Time
This project was completed in two phases by first installing the new equipment on one tower and then connecting it to another. During this process, our skilled tower team installed matching high-capacity microwave radios and directional antennas on both towers and carefully aligned them to create a dedicated, high-speed wireless link and ensure optimal signal performance.
